Early Childhood Mission and Vision
Sayreville Public Schools is committed to providing every student with a high-quality education that is individualized and differentiated to meet their unique needs. We ensure equal access to learning opportunities by offering developmentally appropriate resources and services that foster academic growth, personal development, and readiness for success in school and beyond.
All 4-year olds leave Pre-K ready for Kindergarten, and with a love of learning. Parents and Families who experience Pre-K in Newark have the knowledge and skills to support and advocate for their children’s education and health for the long haul.
Early Childhood Goals
1. Elevate Teaching and Learning
We aspire to enhance the quality of teaching and learning by individualizing and differentiating instruction so that all students are prepared to transition successfully into kindergarten.
2. Cultivate Supportive Environments
We will create nurturing school and classroom environments that expand academic knowledge while strengthening functional, physical, and social-emotional skills.
3. Promote Health and Well-Being
We are committed to supporting the health and well-being of children and families so that every child thrives in kindergarten and continues to flourish throughout their educational journey.
4. Strengthen Attendance Habits
We will increase student attendance and reduce chronic absenteeism to ensure children develop consistent school habits that lead to kindergarten success and open pathways to higher education.
5. Engage Families as Partners
We will strengthen family engagement systems so that Sayreville families are actively involved in their children’s learning at home, in school, and across the community
