Dear Parents and Guardians of students in grades 8-11,
You are cordially invited to attend our yearly AP Informational Session for Parents and Students, on Thursday, January 12th from 6-7 PM. This is a Virtual Program where you and your student can meet the Curriculum Supervisors and AP Teachers for a live Q & A.
This session is for students interested in taking any of our Advanced Placement courses offered that begin in grade 9 (AP Computer Science Principles) through grade 12.
SWMHS offers Advanced Placement courses for students in grades 9-12. These courses typically have prerequisites, which include honors-level coursework, teacher recommendation, and specific grades. Our information session will provide you with this information and more!
At 6:00 PM, the program will begin via my Webex link. I will begin with the introductory video that you can view prior to Thursday. The link is below. At 6:15 PM, the AP teachers and their students will join the program and will be available via the Google Classroom, to provide you with information about the AP courses offered at the high school, the course rigor, and the requirements. You can visit the teachers for the subjects you are interested in. Their live meeting links will be available in the Coursework Tab in the Google Classroom. The Curriculum Supervisors and I will remain in the Webex room for a Q & A session from 6:15-7:00 PM.

Classes of 2023–2025 High School Graduation Assessment Requirements
Updated July 2022
On Tuesday, July 5, 2022, Governor Murphy signed P.L.2022, c.60 (ACS for A-3196/S-2349), which requires the State Board of Education to administer the New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment (NJGPA) as a field test for the class of 2023. There is no graduation assessment requirement for any student who is expected to graduate with the class of 2023. Students in the class of 2023 must still meet all the other State and local graduation requirements, including but not limited to credit, curriculum, and attendance requirements. The graduation assessment requirements for the classes of 2024 and 2025 remain in place.
The requirements in this section were adopted by the New Jersey State Board of Education on September 8, 2021 for the classes of 2023–2025.
English Language Arts and Literacy (ELA)
If, after completing the New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment in grade 11, students did not demonstrate proficiency by passing the ELA component, such students may access the following pathways:
- Second Pathway: By meeting the designated cut score on a substitute competency test such as other high school-level NJSLA/PARCC assessments, the SAT, ACT, or ACCUPLACER; or
- Third Pathway: By submitting, through the district, a student portfolio appeal to the New Jersey Department of Education.
Mathematics
If, after completing the required New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment in grade 11, students did not demonstrate proficiency by passing the mathematics component, such students may access the following pathways:
- Second Pathway: By meeting the designated cut score on a substitute competency test such as other high school-level NJSLA/PARCC assessments, the SAT, ACT, or ACCUPLACER; or

The Freehold Soil Conservation District Board of Supervisors awards scholarships to area college students majoring in a field related to the conservation of our natural resources. Scholarship Description:
The NIADA Foundation proudly sponsors four young men or women each year who have displayed outstanding abilities in education. These students will each receive a $3,500 scholarship to the college or university of their choice. The awards are presented each June of every year at the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association (NIADA) Convention. The following regions are:
- Region I: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan

Scholarship Description:
The Ronald G. Williams, Jr. Foundation was formed in memory of Delaware State Police Master Corporal Ronald G. Williams, Jr., and to honor his commitment to faith, family, and duty. The Criminal Justice scholarships are open to high school seniors from Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, having at least a 2.5 GPA or equivalent, and who are pursuing an education, majoring in Criminal Justice. The award must then be applied to full-time schooling and any accredited college/university, with a declared major in Criminal Justice, starting in the Fall of that same calendar year. Winners will be notified by mail, and have their names, high school name, and essay posted on the Foundation’s Internet website in July of that same year.

Register to Vote!
To register in New Jersey you must be:
- A United States citizen
- I am at least 17 years old, and understand that I may not vote until reaching the age of 18.
- A resident of the county for 30 days before the election
- You are NOT currently serving a sentence, probation or parole because of a felony conviction
The registrant must complete a Voter Registration Application and/or Party Affiliation Form. Mail or deliver the Voter Registration Application and/or Party Affiliation Form to the County Commissioner of Registration or Superintendent of Elections for your county.

Voter Registration Requirements

Please allow a minimum of five to seven days for all requests. Transcripts can be requested in the following ways:
- Fax - send a letter with your original signature to (732) 316-9307.
- Email - scan and attach a letter with your original signature and email it to us.
Transcript request form/letter must include the following:
- Your full legal name at time of graduation
- Your year of graduation
- The full name and address of the person/institution that the transcript is going to.
- Your contact phone number.
- 5. A copy of your photo ID.
Official transcripts can only be sent to third parties. If you want a copy of your transcript for yourself, we can furnish you with an unofficial copy. Students eighteen years of age or older must request their own transcript. Parents are no longer able to make the request.
REPLACEMENT DIPLOMAS
Your high school diploma was a one-of-a-kind document. The Sayreville School District does not have a copy of your diploma. If you are in need of high school attendance and/or graduation verification, we can furnish you with a signed letter with your graduation date. Contact one of our secretaries.
