Gifted and Talented
The Sayreville Public Schools provide students identified as Gifted and/or Twice Gifted with the opportunity to advanced cognitive thinking skills through push in lessons in grade 2 as well as pull out weekly sessions with our district certified TAG teachers in grades 3-8. Additionally, all of our students in grades K and 1 benefit from lessons and resources developed by our K-3 TAG staff to explore engineering and design thinking within their homeroom. Students in grades 8-12 who are academically gifted have their needs met through advanced level coursework and electives aligned to cognitive and creative standards.
Each year, teachers, parents and even students themselves are invited to nominate students to be assessed using multiple criteria measurements for TAG Eligibility.
Please use the links below to review the district Gifted and Talented Handbook and to learn more about our identification process.
Please check back to this page in February for information related to nominations and the annual Parent/Guardian Information session.
