• Public participation during the Sayreville Board of Education Meeting will be facilitated via WebEx.

• In order to participate as a member of the public during the public participation portion of the Board of Education Meeting, a member of the public must join WebEx from a computer browser or WebEx mobile application.

• All WebEx services for the Sayreville Board of Education Meeting are free to the public.

• If you choose to download the WebEx software to participate in the meeting, the Sayreville Public Schools/Board of Education is not responsible for support or associated problems/damage to any personal device.

• Connection information for the public participation WebEx will be provided during the public participation portion of the Board of Education meeting and can be found at the following website: http://www.sayrevillek12.net/board_of_education/boe_meetings_live_stream . Information will not be published in advance.

• Once connected to WebEx, all public participants will be placed in listen only mode. To participate with the Board of Education you will need to use the “Raise Hand” feature of WebEx, directions can be found below.

• Members of the public that utilize the “Raise Hand” feature of WebEx will be recognized by the Board of Education and placed in participant mode in the WebEx, allowing the member of the public to participate with audio or audio and video with the Board of Education.
  • The exact location and menu structure for using the raise hand feature may vary slightly by device type.

  • The following are two common examples of how to use the “Raise Hand” Feature

  • Using WebEx through a computer Browser
    • To “Raise Hand” during public participation click the button at the lower portion of the screen with the three dots

       

       

    • Select the raise hand option.

    • To lower your hand, click the lower hand option which can be found in the same location as raise hand when a participate already has their hand raised.

  • Using WebEx through the desktop application:
    • To “Raise Hand” during public participation click the button at the lower portion of the screen with the person icon to open the participant’s window. The window will usually open on the right hand of the screen.

       

       

    • At the bottom of the participant’s window you will see a small icon shaped like a hand. Click this icon to raise and lower your hand during the public participation section of the meeting.

• At the conclusion of each member of the public participation with the Board of Education, the member of the public will be placed back in listen only mode and/or disconnected from the WebEx.
