Project Before Staff
As we wrap the year and students head towards kindergarten, we would like to take this opportunity to recognize the hard work and efforts of the Project Before staff. Expressions of gratitude have come from parents of students who are moving on to the elementary schools. The District wishes to thank them for nurturing the growth and development of language, social and readiness skills that have successfully launched students into both general education kindergarten as well as programs that will continue to meet their needs. A big thank you to Project Before staff!
Sayreville Elementary Schools Give Back!
The Sayreville Elementary Schools just keep giving back and we are so proud of them. The Middlesex County Food Organization and Outreach Distribution Services (MCFOODS) has offered their thanks and congratulations to our students for their amazing contributionto their 2009 School Food Drive. This year's total of approximately 57 tons of food was collected from 164 participating schools throughout the county. Arleth Elementary, out of 164 schools placed 7th in the amount of food collected and Samsel Upper Elementary placed 9th! That is truly amazing accomplishment especially when compared to the much larger schools that participated. All of our elementary had amazing responses and can hold their head high for their contribution to feeding the hungry. The collections totals were: Arleth -2,000 lbs.; Eisenhower- 900 lbs.; Truman - 950 lbs. & $100 gift card; Wilson - 550 lbs. and Samsel Upper - 1,900 lbs. Thank you to the Sayreville students and their families!
